Last Friday (May 29, 2009) I went to Graz to attend the Digital Congress hosted by Styria Media International and interactive.agency. Over 600 people from more than ten countries came together to discuss successful ways in digital marketing.
After a short welcome of the host we were able to listen to David Plouffe and his insights using digital media as the campaign manager for Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign.
Another highlight of the first part of the day was a fabulous show performance by Nils Müller who gave us possible forecasts on the future development of the digital world.
Image Search Engines, searching text in videos, wearing rayban sunglasses on your desktop via webcam (Virtual mirror) or getting sightseeing information on your cell phone while scanning the surroundings with your cell phone camera are just a few things he mentioned during his speech.
In the afternoon six different channels gave us the chance to discuss some of the topics in a more detailed way. Here’s the complete programme list.
It was a real pleasure to take part in this event and I’m looking forward to being a part of it again next year; maybe in a more active role. I’ll keep you informed.
